Kero One started Deejaying in middle school at the age of 13. Though inspired by friends who would deejay the middle school dances, Kero could only observe at that time. Lacking in skills and turntables to deejay, Kero One messed around with his friends' turntables and watched DMC turntable battle tapes featuring guys like DJ Babu, Q-bert, and Shortkut. Eventually, Kero One got his own setup several years later and began collecting hiphop records such as Common, Gangstarr, Organized Konfusion, Lord Finesse, and original rare groove breaks of jazz, soul, and funk..

Today, Kero One is a DJ that spins not only classic golden era hiphop and new non-commercial hiphop, but also hits dance floors with Electro, tasteful R&B/soul/funk, disco, house/broken beat and rare reedits. Kero One has shared the decks with deejays such as DJ Cash Money, DJ Kentaro (DMC japan), DJ Shortkut (ISP), EPMD, Young Einstein of Ugly Duckling, DJ Mitsu the beats, and artists from Ubiquity Records such as Quantic and Ohmega Watts. Through hardwork and support from fans, Kero has been able to tour all over Asia, Europe, Australia, and the United States.

In addition to Deejaying, Kero One is also a emcee and producer releasing over ten 12" singles, Full length album, and mix cd's on his own imprint "Plug Label". His debut rap album Windmills of the Soul was labeled the best hiphop album of 2006 by Remix Magazine and Microsoft Music awards.
